Addington Place of Rantoul, a Priority Life Care community, is proud to celebrate the First Annual Validation Week, August 17–23.
The community joins Priority Life Care communities across the country in recognizing the importance of compassion, connection, and person-centered dementia care.
Centered around the theme “Meet Me Where I Am,” Validation Week reminds caregivers, families, and community members that meaningful connection begins by listening, understanding, validating feelings, and meeting each person where they are in their journey.
Throughout the week, Addington Place of Rantoul will host activities that celebrate residents’ life stories and educate families and the community about the power of Validation.
Validation is an important part of Priority Life Care’s Along the Journey dementia care philosophy. It encourages caregivers to understand the emotions behind a person’s words and actions, helping create trust, comfort, and connection.
